How to Become A Morning Person

So, you want to become a morning person? Maybe work forced this upon you or maybe you're ready to step up your fitness game. 

I'm sharing all the tips to get your booty out of bed before the birds are even awake :) 

If you don't know me, I wake up at about 4am every day. (Yes I go to bed at 8pm) 

I am way more productive in the morning. I like to drink a cup (or 3) of coffee and cram out my work. Usually my boyfriend and the dogs are still sleeping so it's like "me time" or I like to down some pre workout and hit the gym! 


This is how I do it: 

  1. Set your alarm and put your phone (or alarm clock if you still use one) across the room. This way you have to get up to turn it off, it's too easy to reach over and hit snooze. 
  2. Once you're up go drink a big glass of cold water! This will help wake you up and you are dehydrated all night so it's important to replenish your body! 
  3. Make coffee. I have my favorite mug + coffee to go so it's like a little treat I look forward to! 
  4. If you're going to the gym/working out set your clothes out the night before, that way you aren't scrambling to find an outfit. 

Overall you want to make sure you're getting enough sleep. Some people prefer staying up later than waking up earlier. However, you can ALWAYS train yourself. 

I always tell people if you are more productive at night then cool don't become a morning person. Like I said I get so much done in the morning and I like to use my evenings to chill out and watch Netflix!
